If you would like to participate in this event by providing school supplies for a student or students in our local community please make sure to take the following steps:

1. Contact Steve Erickson (224.558.7778) or Jason Davis (630.629.3388)to notify them of how many students you would like provide school supplies for (unless you have already signed up for students at the church @ Marcus or at Lombard Assembly). This is an important step.

2. Next buy school supplies for the number of students you signed up for. Below is a suggested shopping list. When in question, resort to selecting the basic supplies needed and ones that work for both male and female students. As far as backpacks are concerned, if you choose to purchase a backpack for your student(s) please do not buy ones with wheels per the school request.

Suggested school supplies list for all students:
Backpack
Loose leaf paper (wide lined)
Blue/black pens
Red pens
#2 pencils
Eraser
Folders w/pockets (plain colors please)
Spiral notebooks (plain colors please)
12” Ruler
Highlighter(s)
Colored pencils
Index cards
Pencil case of some sort

Suggested school supplies list for students 1st-5th grade:
All of the above items plus:
Crayons
Glue sticks
5” Scissors with points

3. Finally, gather all supplies for each student together in either the backpack that you purchased or in a brown paper bag if you did not purchase a backpack. Then bring the bags to the service/picnic to be held on Aug 22nd at the NW corner of Centennial Park. Please park at the SW corner of the parking lot for Marcus Cinemas in Addison. Service starts at 10:00 am and will be immediately followed by a free picnic for all who would like to stay. The service is an outdoor service so please bring a blanket or lawn chairs if you would like.

I know it's been awhile since these forums were utilized but that is an issue that I plan to remedy.

This is simply a quick note to inform anyone interested in anything concerning the men's ministry at the church that Scott Nelson has agreed to be the team leader for this team and to raise up a team of men to lead this ministry. Join with me in welcoming Scott to the team.
