the church is about people giving people a chance to hear, accept and be transformed by a relationship with Jesus. there are five values that guide the decisions and direction of the church:
God's Word: the unapologetic proclamation of the word of God as recorded in the bible
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Worship: ushering people into the presence of the Almighty God through worship
John 4:24 "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
Prayer: there is power and effectiveness in prayer
Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Evangelism: engaging the culture and community with the transforming message of Jesus
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Community: authentic relationships and the life change that occurs as a result
Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
